MarsEdit

As you know I have been very fond of Blogo the blogging software. What I like best is the way I can use it with Ping.FM. The way it deals with other blogging sites is OK but perhaps a little unconventional. I had looked at Marsedit before but decided that since I had bought Blogo I would stick with it and its foibles with regards the actual blogging on the WordPres sites.

Lately though I have been getting a bit miffed with the way it handles putting more than one image into the post. I have to say that MarsEdit does a far better job of handling images and where they are placed in the text. So I bit the bullet and bought the MarsEdit software. I like the way that the Categories and Tags are separated. The Options panel which slides in and out as a panel is handy for setting up the post.

Then there is the drop down list in the top right corner of the application where I can choose the make text bold or headline and do some of the basic formatting. Just noticed also that it is possible to add some more markup macros. So I will be setting one up that will put in images with a bit of spacing around it. This option actually takes the software that one big step to total flexibility, which I am really impressed with.

Would it be too much to ask for to have the ability to post to Ping.fm also.

So there you go I give a big thumbs up to MarsEdit and I will be using Blogo for the Ping thing.
