Chris has a company called FoleyPod and that’s his name of twitter too. he creates web pages so has to use Windows just for testing the web pages in the versions of IE
When editing sound uses Logic and we discuss Garageband.
Chris likes to use Pages as much as possible, has Office to be able to get into xl spreadsheets and has been known to play sudoku on the iPhone
Like me Chris is really impressed with the GPS on the iPhone, thinks it is great to see yourself as that little blue dot walking down the street.
He has bootcamp set up and also VM fusion – always amazes clients to see Mac and Windows on the same machine.

The browser Flock gets a mention for its super blogging tools built in and it is all in the sidebar – Facebook included which is normally a time sucking vortex. Easy to see  when things have been updated without having to go to the Facebook site. A Tweetie user on the Mac and on the iPhone and Seesmic gets a mention too.
Chris is a guitar player and has a covers band uses Garageband a lot to share ideas and is into Photography has a Nikon D90 digital SLR camera. personally I think that Aperture doesn’t need the faces and places extras from iPhoto, not really in keeping with the professional photographer needs, although he uses iTunes professionally
Finds Garageband to be great to use really easy  to make music with.
Time Machine is the best thing since sliced bread says Chris, he also use Carbon copy Cloner and SyncroniseProX
He has 14 drives do back things up with – Wow what a lot of drives. every 60 days will wipe the Time machine drive and starts again. Will not recommend Time Capsule because other things happening on the network like streaming from an Apple TV or a NetFlix thing will lead to corrupt back ups.
Evernote is a favourite application and would like to have this built in to Apple’s iCal
NetNewsWire  is the bees knees of an RSS reader likes the way it is synchronised so only has to look at a post once and have all the news aggregated in one place.
Apple J in iTunes gives you the show options and you can have more information in front of  you. Like if you want to mark tracks for whatever reason – comment and notes too
Chris rents movies from iTunes now and then.
iPhone favourite app is Evernote and Scrabble, Chris also uses Things
Mobile Me user and likes having all stuff synces through the cloud, he uses the public folder rather than have to use FTP

David started with a MacMini after his wife saw one in the shop and said straight away that she wanted one bought one too. Good plan to take her to the Apple Store huh??
He occasionally uses Bootcamp for a game but prefers the virtual route so can drop in and out as needed.
Flight control user on the iPhone and has a pile of iPods. While doing the waiting for the new baby to be born was landing planes. Well crashing planes anyway !!

David uses VM ware fusion for virtualisation of other operating systems on his Mac but also recommends Virtual box from Sun, Uses Safari now that Foxmarks works with it as well as with FireFox although he downgraded from safari 4 back to 3
Like many of us Mac users he is a believer in 1Password too
As for the Twitter client David used Tweetdeck for a while, and then moved to Tweetie and liked it enough to pay for it
Like myself he is not impressed with the celebrities with thousands of followers that need a staff to be able to keep up with Twitter. It is not really what Twitter is about.
Into photography and uses Lightroom

David has a Contour Design shuttle for the work he was doing in Garageband

There is massive value in the Apple refurb store and David is quite happy to buy the refurbished  products. There are some great savings to be had.
David is a drop box user so he can have files synchronised on various computers to be able to work on them where ever he might be. I think Dropbox is the bees knees and with 2 Gb for free you can’t go wrong. David was a NetNewsWire user  but there were a few problems or syncing issues so switched to switched to Google reader

WriteRoom for writers with a green letter old school interface that sounds quite ugly, but lets David  concentrate on the writing job in hand

Uses Google calendar to sync to the iPhone and uses Nueva sync

Had a great very good chat with the Bart Busschots from Ireland. He takes charge, hosts the International Mac Podcast and does his best to keep some order over the rest of the Scallywags. I will be one of the scallywags tomorrow on the next live show. Should be fun.

Bart has back up paranoia leading to the use of Rsync and Arrsync to do back ups a plenty. Along with pirate humour, a wooden leg and a parrot on the shoulder type of pirate you should note.
Doesn’t think to highly of Ubercaster for podcasting – reckons it is too flakey in use. Which is why all of the people on the IMP do a recording of the show just in case it is needed.

He likes to drink coffee while using his favourite application – NetNewswire. I have been trying it out since recording the interview and I think I like it but I don’t like coffee. I wonder if it works with tea?
